Maintenance Technician - Apprentice:

The Maintenance Technician Apprentice role offers a hands-on opportunity to ensure our facilities, clinic buildings, and mechanical systems are in optimal condition, creating a welcoming environment for our community. This role provides a chance to develop a career in all facets of building management and maintenance, with a variety of duties in a supportive and care-oriented setting. Position Summary

With a Quality, Customer First, and Compassionate approach, The Maintenance Technician - Apprentice will:

• Help keep our facilities (clinic buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems) in top shape and create a vibrant environment for our community.
• Make sure our tools and machines are working, clean and ready to go
• Performs routine, daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior
• Help conduct inspections to make sure our facility is clean, and working properly so our patients feel welcome and cared for
• Respond to maintenance requests through installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
• Assist the IT department with AV setups, equipment moves and problem solving

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Junior or High School Senior

UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR APPRENTICESHIP THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA MUST BE MET BY THE END OF THE APPRENTICESHIP TO COMPLETE:

• Apprentices must successfully pass/complete a minimum of 144 hours of employer-selected training courses that align with their competencies (either through relevant college coursework or other training - on-the-job-training does not apply to this requirement)
• Apprentices must complete 2,000 hours of work at their company
• Apprentices must obtain proficiency in 100% of their technical competencies and 75% of their Career-Ready competencies in order to complete the apprenticeship

Current immunizations are required to work at Sunrise Community Health and may vary dependent upon the position. Influenza (Flu) and Tdap Vaccines are required for ALL staff. COVID vaccine is highly encouraged.
